Article 1

Definitions & Applicability

1.1 These General Terms and Conditions apply to all offers, orders, and distance agreements concluded by Riconlas B.V. (operating under its legal name and trade names including Spider-Hand.com) via its webshop(s) and digital sales platforms with any purchaser (“Buyer”), whether acting in a consumer capacity (B2C) or a professional/commercial capacity (B2B).

1.2 By placing an order, registering an account, or concluding an agreement with Riconlas B.V., the Buyer accepts the full applicability of these Terms and Conditions. Any deviations from or additions to these Terms are only valid if explicitly agreed upon in writing by an authorized representative of Riconlas B.V.

1.3 General terms and conditions invoked by the Buyer or any third party are hereby explicitly rejected, unless explicitly accepted by Riconlas B.V. in writing.

Article 2

Offers, Pricing & VAT

2.1 All offers, product descriptions, price quotations, and promotional statements presented on the webshop are non-binding and subject to stock availability, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

2.2 Consumer Transactions (B2C): Prices displayed to consumers include applicable VAT and other mandatory charges. Shipping costs, delivery charges, and any other additional costs are clearly shown before the consumer places the order.

2.3 Business Transactions (B2B): Where clearly indicated, prices for business Buyers may be displayed exclusive of VAT and shipping costs. VAT and any additional charges will be itemized in the checkout summary and invoice.

2.4 Product images and technical information are presented as accurately as reasonably possible. Minor, non-material differences in colour, packaging, design, or execution may occur, provided these do not affect the agreed function, safety, quality, performance, or essential characteristics of the product. This clause does not limit the Buyer’s mandatory statutory rights.

Article 3

PPE Compliance & Safety Specifications

3.1 Riconlas B.V. supplies certified Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including Category II PPE such as welding gloves and welding protection equipment, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 where applicable.

3.2 Products are supplied in accordance with the applicable European health and safety requirements and relevant standards. EU Declarations of Conformity, certificates, and user instructions are made available on the website and/or supplied with the product where required.

3.3 Buyers and end-users must read and follow all applicable user instructions, safety information, technical documentation, storage requirements, and maintenance guidance before using the product.

3.4 To the extent permitted by applicable law, Riconlas B.V. is not liable for loss or damage resulting from improper, negligent, unauthorized, or incorrect use, modification, storage, or maintenance of a product. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer and product-liability rights.

Article 4

Payment Terms & Methods

4.1 Payment must be executed via the secure online payment methods provided during checkout, including iDEAL, credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Bancontact, Belfius, EPS, MB Way, Multibanco, Przelewy24, Swish, or other supported channels processed by our Payment Service Provider Mollie B.V.

4.2 Payment on Account (B2B only): Business clients approved for credit terms by Riconlas B.V. must settle invoices within 14 calendar days from the invoice date, without set-off, deduction, or suspension, unless a different payment term has been agreed upon in writing.

4.3 In the event of late or incomplete payment under B2B credit terms, the Buyer shall be in default by operation of law without further notice of default being required. Riconlas B.V. reserves the right to charge statutory commercial interest pursuant to Article 6:119a of the Dutch Civil Code, as well as applicable extrajudicial collection costs.

Article 5

Delivery, Risk & Performance

5.1 Riconlas B.V. ships to the destinations offered during checkout. Available destinations, shipping charges, and any carriage-paid thresholds are communicated during the ordering process.

5.2 Consumer Transactions (B2C): The estimated delivery period is shown before the order is placed. If no delivery period has been agreed, delivery will take place within the period required by applicable consumer law. If delivery is delayed, the consumer retains all mandatory statutory remedies, including the right to set an additional reasonable delivery period or, where legally permitted, cancel the agreement.

5.3 Business Transactions (B2B): Delivery dates and lead times are indicative unless a strict deadline has been expressly agreed in writing. A delay does not place Riconlas B.V. in default until the business Buyer has provided written notice of default and a reasonable additional period for performance, unless such notice is not required under applicable law.

5.4 Transfer of Risk: For consumer transactions, the risk of loss or damage transfers when the consumer or a third party designated by the consumer, other than the carrier, physically receives the goods. For business transactions, risk transfers in accordance with the agreed delivery terms and, unless agreed otherwise, when the goods are handed to the carrier or logistics provider.

Article 6

Right of Withdrawal & Returns

6.1 Consumers (B2C): A consumer may withdraw from an eligible distance agreement without giving reasons within 14 calendar days. For the purchase of goods, the withdrawal period begins on the day after the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier, receives the goods.

6.2 To exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer must inform Riconlas B.V. within the withdrawal period by an unequivocal statement, for example by email or by using the model withdrawal form made available on the website.

6.3 After notifying Riconlas B.V. of the withdrawal, the consumer must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after that notification.

6.4 During the withdrawal period, the consumer may inspect the product only to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning, as would normally be permitted in a physical shop. The consumer may be liable for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary for that inspection.

6.5 Statutory Exceptions: The right of withdrawal does not apply where a statutory exception applies, including:

  • Products manufactured according to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized;
  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for genuine health-protection or hygiene reasons, where the seal has been broken after delivery;
  • Other products or services expressly excluded by mandatory consumer law.

The fact that a product is Personal Protective Equipment does not by itself exclude the statutory right of withdrawal.

6.6 Return Costs: The consumer bears the direct cost of returning goods when this was clearly communicated before the order, unless Riconlas B.V. delivered an incorrect or defective product or has agreed to bear those costs.

6.7 Refunds: Following a valid withdrawal, Riconlas B.V. will refund all payments received for the withdrawn purchase, including the standard outbound delivery costs where the entire order is withdrawn. Any additional cost caused by the consumer choosing a more expensive delivery method than the least expensive standard method offered will not be refunded.

Refunds will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after Riconlas B.V. receives the withdrawal notice. For goods, Riconlas B.V. may withhold reimbursement until the goods have been received or the consumer supplies evidence of having returned them, whichever occurs first. Unless otherwise agreed, the refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction.

6.8 Business Transactions (B2B): Business Buyers do not have a statutory consumer right of withdrawal. Business returns are accepted only with prior written approval from Riconlas B.V. and subject to any agreed return conditions.

Article 7

Conformity, Complaints & Liability

7.1 Consumer Conformity: Consumer goods must comply with the agreement and possess the qualities and performance a consumer may reasonably expect under mandatory Dutch consumer law. Nothing in these Terms limits the consumer’s statutory rights relating to defective or non-conforming products.

7.2 Consumer Complaints: Consumers should report a defect to Riconlas B.V. within a reasonable period after discovery. A fixed seven-day reporting period does not limit a consumer’s statutory warranty or conformity rights.

7.3 Business Inspection Requirement: Business Buyers must inspect delivered goods promptly. Visible damage, shortages, or defects must be reported in writing within 7 calendar days after delivery. Defects that could not reasonably have been discovered on delivery must be reported in writing within 7 calendar days after discovery. Failure to report within these periods may affect the business Buyer’s contractual remedies, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

7.4 Limitation of Liability (B2B): To the maximum extent permitted by mandatory law, Riconlas B.V. is not liable to a business Buyer for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, business interruption, or loss of savings. Liability for direct loss is limited to the net invoice value of the relevant order or, if higher, the amount paid under the applicable liability insurance policy.

7.5 Mandatory Liability: No exclusion or limitation in these Terms applies where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Article 8

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

8.1 These Terms and the agreements to which they apply are governed by Dutch law. For consumers, this choice of law does not deprive them of mandatory protection provided by the law of their country of habitual residence where that law applies.

8.2 Business Transactions (B2B): Disputes with business Buyers will be submitted to the competent court in the judicial district of Riconlas B.V.’s registered office, unless mandatory law requires another competent court. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) is excluded.

8.3 Consumer Complaints and ADR: Consumers are encouraged to contact Riconlas B.V. first so that the parties can try to resolve the complaint directly. The former European Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025. Current official information about alternative dispute resolution and recognized consumer dispute-resolution bodies is available through the European Commission’s Consumer Redress portal:
